What's Happening Around Springboro & Across Ohio: October & Early November 2026

A warm early-October evening on a historic small-town Ohio main street in Warren County with glowing string lights, vendor canopies of pumpkins and mums, a windmill farm market sign, and orange and gold maples
PLATE 01, AUTUMN EVENINGS IN WARREN COUNTY

Mid-October is when Ohio's festival calendar hits its peak. The Ohio Renaissance Festival is deep into its season just outside Waynesville, Cincinnati is about to light up for BLINK, and the second Saturday of the month stacks farm festivals, apple butter, kraut, and pumpkins from Enon to Loveland. If you have been waiting for the perfect weekend to get out and explore, the next four weeks are full of them.

This month we are putting a spotlight on Springboro, one of Warren County's fastest-growing cities and one of the most exciting growth stories in the corridor between Dayton and Cincinnati. Springboro has grown from about 12,380 residents in 2000 to more than 19,000 today, a jump of roughly 54 percent in two decades, and Warren County has ranked among the fastest-growing counties in Ohio. New neighborhoods keep coming online, top-rated Springboro Community City Schools keep families choosing to stay, and a spot on I-75 puts Dayton, Cincinnati, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base all within an easy drive.

At Glasshouse Realty, our agents live and work across Greater Dayton, Greater Cincinnati, and the Cleveland market. We know the organizers, the fairgrounds, and the local businesses behind these events, and we love sharing the places where our communities gather. Here are twelve festivals and happenings worth putting on your calendar between now and the first weekend of November.

Ohio Renaissance Festival

Waynesville · Weekends through November 1, 2026

One of the largest Renaissance festivals in the Midwest is in the final stretch of its 2026 season, and every remaining weekend brings a brand-new theme. At Renaissance Park along East State Route 73 in Warren County, the permanent sixteenth-century-style village fills with costumed performers, live jousting, working artisan shops, and food that feels straight out of a medieval feast.

In the weeks ahead you can catch Time Travelers Weekend (October 10-11), Romance Weekend (October 17-18), Myths & Monsters (October 24-25), and the season-closing Heroes and Villains (October 31 through November 1), when kids 12 and under get in free. Gates open at 10:30 AM each day; adult tickets are $35, children 5 to 12 are $10, and parking is included.

This one is especially close to our hearts. Glasshouse Realty keeps a billboard presence along the roads around the festival grounds, so as you make your way to the gates you may just spot our sign. It is a small reflection of how connected our team is to this corner of Warren County, and it makes the drive even sweeter. For jousting fans, costume lovers, and anyone with a taste for turkey legs, it is essential Southwest Ohio.

BLINK Cincinnati

Cincinnati & Covington · October 8-11, 2026

The biggest headline of the month belongs to BLINK, the nation's largest free public art and light festival, returning October 8-11. From 7:00 to 11:00 PM each night, projection mapping transforms historic buildings, glowing installations and murals line the streets, and interactive artwork spills across more than 30 city blocks, from Over-the-Rhine through downtown Cincinnati and across the Ohio River into Covington, Kentucky.

The 2026 edition brings roughly 90 artists from more than 20 countries together in one of the most walkable festival experiences anywhere, and every bit of it is free. If you have never seen the Queen City glow like this, this is the week. It is also a stunning reminder of how far downtown Cincinnati has come, and a perfect excuse to spend an autumn evening on the riverfront.

Admission is free.

A visit pairs perfectly with the Renaissance Festival just down Route 73, so a weekend in Waynesville can mean jousting one day and a kraut-filled stroll the next. From Springboro the drive is only about ten minutes, which makes it the easiest big-event weekend of the season for our spotlight community.

Between the market's treats and the surrounding Warren County countryside, it is an easy, low-key outing for families and a fun way to support a longstanding local business that has grown right alongside the city. Grab a pumpkin, a snack, and a stroll through the season, then take a drive through the neighborhood after and you will see why Springboro keeps growing.

Why We Share These Events

At Glasshouse Realty, we do not just serve these communities from a distance. Our agents live in the same neighborhoods where these events are happening, from fast-growing Springboro and the farm country of Warren and Preble Counties to the river towns of southern Ohio and the lakefront communities of Greater Cleveland. When we share what is happening around town, we are sharing the places where we will be spending our weekends, too.

That local connection is at the heart of everything we do. It is the difference between knowing a market and knowing a community, and it is what we mean when we say the difference is clear. From the castle village in Waynesville where you might spot our billboard, to the lights of BLINK along the Cincinnati riverfront, to the pumpkin fields of Springboro and the harvest weekends of Northeast Ohio, these gatherings are a wonderful way to feel the character of each town firsthand.

So mark your calendar: catch a joust in Waynesville on any October weekend, watch Cincinnati light up with BLINK on October 8-11, fill up on kraut and pumpkins on Super Saturday, October 10, cheer the parade through Camden on October 17, and finish the month at an Old West pumpkin fest on October 24-25. These October weeks across Ohio are something special, and these twelve events are only the beginning.

And if you are curious what it is like to live in any of these communities, the neighborhoods, the schools, the daily rhythm, we would love to talk. That is what we are here for. Reach out anytime, and we will connect you with someone who knows your community from the inside out.

The Bottom Line

From the Ohio Renaissance Festival in Waynesville to the lights of BLINK Cincinnati, from the Sauerkraut Festival and the pumpkin fields of Springboro to Operation Pumpkin in Hamilton, the Black Walnut Festival in Camden, and harvest weekends across Northeast Ohio, the coming weeks are full of reasons to explore the communities that make up the Glasshouse Realty network. Each event tells you something about the town that hosts it, and together they paint a picture of a region where community still matters. If you are thinking about making one of these places home, we would love to help you find the right fit. The Difference is Clear.
